What is involved in the installation of a new boiler?
The heating system in your home is one of the few systems which runs consistently every day throughout the year. The average boiler will often run for seven hours per day throughout the 'Heating season' and must perform reliably to avoid a cold home.
If you are thinking about replacing your boiler, then you might be wondering what is involved...
Process' vary between companies, however if you choose MCS to replace your system this is what you can expect:
Initial Contact - Following your request of a quotation, one of our surveyors will call you in order to discuss your requirements. We also arrange a suitable appointment to visit your home to discuss options with you.
Survey - Our surveyor arrives at your property, we don't try to throw too much information at you. We understand that it can be difficult to decipher different systems and types of boiler. MCS will give you options and help you to come to a decision based on your expectations.
Options - MCS provide a written specification along with your price, we also offer you finance options should you wish to pay by using our finance facility.
Order - If you decide to go ahead with the work, we arrange everything else for you. This starts with ordering the materials for installation and arranging delivery to your property.
Care for your home - Installation starts, firstly protective floor coverings are laid, we then drain your system and begin to remove your old boiler.
Installation - Your new boiler is installed by our Gas Safe or OFTEC registered engineer, checks are done on the gas pipework and electrical systems.
Cleansing - Your heating system is cleansed following treatment using chemicals and special machines which remove sediment and debris.
Handover - The engineer hands the system over to you, this includes explaining any user controls and thermostats to you. Our new boilers require very little user input however we will take time to make sure you are happy with altering settings.
Warranty - We register the installation with Gas Safe or OFTEC, the warranty is registered by MCS on your behalf.
Aftercare - Your new boiler installation is complete, we regularly conduct quality control visits and so we may contact you in order to arrange a visit at your discretion. We are there for you should you need anything following installation.
